The University of Dayton Arena will again host the NCAA First Four tonight, UD Arena has hosted over 117 tournament’s more than any other NCAA host. The first game will be between N.C. Central vs. UC Davis, 6:40 p.m. while the second game features Providence vs. USC, 9:10 p.m. Updates and photos after the game, courtesy of Timesmedia.

Providence wasted no time in asserting its dominance in the game with a behind a barrage of threes and a formable defense for a go-ahead lead of 15 points, with 1:18 left in the first half. USC fought back to make the score 50-55, Providence with 9:56 left in the game. After trading baskets, the lead is still five at 55-66. And with the break USC goes to the line for two shots and closes the gap to three, USC rally’s again taking the lead by three with an 8.0 run after two turnovers by Providence. 63-60 with 5:47 left on the clock. USC now leads the game by five at the 3:11 mark, time out. USC upsets Providence, final score 75-71.
