Sumner’s Career High Leads Musketeers to Win at Georgetown

WASHINGTON – A career day for Edmond Sumner led No. 8/7 Xavier men’s basketball to an 88-70 win at Georgetown on Saturday, avenging a January home loss against the Hoyas. The Musketeers shot over 80 percent from the floor for the second half as they moved to 24-3 on the season and 12-3 in BIG EAST play.

FLYERS FALL TO ST. BONAVENTURE, 79-72

DAYTON, Ohio – The University of Dayton Men’s Basketball team (21-5, 11-2 A-10) fell to the St. Bonaventure Bonnies (18-7, 9-4 A-10) by a score of 79-72 on Saturday afternoon at UD Arena. Dayton, who entered the game ranked 15th by the Associated Press and 13th in the USA Today/Coaches Poll, lost back-to-back games for the first time in 77 games, snapping the third-longest such string in the nation.
Charles Cooke led UD with 22 points.  Jaylen Adams led all scorers with 31 points for the Bonnies.
